  1. Call for Submissions for the August 2026 Issue of The Pinnacle: Journal of Arts and Sciences

    Beyond 2030: Transformative Research and Policy Towards a Sustainable Future

    The Editorial Board of The Pinnacle: Journal of Arts and Sciences of the College of Arts and Sciences, Bohol Island State University – Main Campus, formally announces the Call for Papers for its August 2026 issue. The journal invites submissions from researchers, faculty members, graduate students, practitioners, and independent scholars engaged in original and rigorous scholarly inquiry across the arts, humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and interdisciplinary fields.

    The forthcoming issue is organized around the theme, “Beyond 2030: Transformative Research and Policy Towards a Sustainable Future.” This thematic focus seeks to foreground critical, innovative, and forward-looking scholarship that examines the ecological, political, technological, economic, and cultural challenges that continue to shape contemporary and future discourses on sustainability. In particular, the journal encourages contributions that advance theoretical reflection, empirical investigation, policy analysis, and interdisciplinary dialogue concerning sustainable development and transformative social change.

    Submissions may include original research articles, review papers, and interdisciplinary studies that engage with, but are not limited to, the following areas: environmental ethics and eco-criticism; data and innovations for green technology; circular economy; climate change and societal challenges; sustainable policy and governance; corporate social responsibility; and sustainability through the arts. Contributions from diverse disciplinary traditions and methodological orientations are highly encouraged in order to foster inclusive and multifaceted discussions on sustainability and development.

    The official release of the Call for Papers is scheduled for May 11, 2026. Manuscripts must be submitted on or before July 11, 2026. The peer review process will be conducted from July 11 to July 30, 2026, followed by the revision period from August 1 to August 15, 2026. Copyediting and final manuscript preparation will take place from August 16 to August 31, 2026, with the target publication date set on August 31, 2026.

    The Pinnacle: Journal of Arts and Sciences carries the ISSN (Print) 3116-2274 and ISSN (Online) 3116-2541. Through this issue, the journal aspires to contribute to emerging scholarly conversations on sustainability by providing a platform for transformative, critical, and socially responsive research.

  2. Call for Papers for the December 2025 Issue: AI, Sustainable Development, and the Future of Philippine Higher Education.

    The Pinnacle: Journal of Arts and Sciences is now accepting submissions for its December 2025 Issue. We invite original, unpublished, and high-quality scholarly works across the fields of arts and sciences. The issue will focus on AI, Sustainable Development, and the Future of Philippine Higher Education. It will explore how emerging technologies can be integrated into teaching, research, and governance while aligning with the principles of sustainability and ethical responsibility. Particular attention will also be given to the challenges and opportunities faced by Philippine universities as they adapt to global shifts in education and innovation. This theme seeks to encourage critical reflection and scholarly research on shaping a future-ready, inclusive, and sustainable higher education system.

About the Journal

The Pinnacle: Journal of Arts and Sciences is the official bi-annual publication of the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), Bohol Island State University (BISU)-Main Campus. As a peer-reviewed journal, it adopts a rigorous double-blind review process, ensuring that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to uphold research objectivity and integrity. This multidisciplinary journal serves as a platform for the dissemination of knowledge through research articles, creative works, lectures, reviews, and policy briefs, contributing transformative insights toward human well-being and sustainable development.

Regular issues are released in August and December, while occasional special issues appear in March or April.
